Controlling the PANOPTES Cameras

The head unit of a PANOPTES robotic telescope contains two cameras, a USB hub, and an electronics board for controlling power to the cameras and for recording data from sensors: humidity, temperature and acceleration. I ordered the parts for this board (and two other boards) from Adafruit, SparkFun and DigiKey. I got started on assembly today, soldering on the switches (solid state relays) for turning the cameras on and off, the voltage regulators for stepping down from 12V to 9V for powering the cameras, an accelerometer for measuring the orientation of the head unit, and an Arduino Micro to manage things.

I bypassed adding the power jacks because I ordered the wrong ones. Sigh. Yet another order to be made.
